My Goals, Challenges and Expectations for Language 4.

I’m so excited to be here again for a new semester. Even though I have had problems understanding most of the topics the last semester I’m excited about this new topics we are about to see.Last semester I had problems with vowels (like I have had since 1st year lol), but I’m starting to understand them better since I have been watching videos and tutorials about the things that I find hard. The content that we are going to see I’m this unit really interest me a lot. I’m excited to see everything soon and be able to get better with phonetics. Like I said before, I love phonetics but I would like to be better at it. Sometimes I get way too lost in the things that we are watching and it gets harder for me to understand as the unit passes by. But I know getting better and better, so I’m really excited about it!Also, this semester is the past one before we start with the practicum and that makes me a little nervous. There has been a lot of changes since I entered the university, some better and some not too good, but I always welcome change with open arms. I’m happy with all the friends I have made so far in the university, and thankful for the teachers I gave had so far, they ate the reason of why I fall more and more in love with teaching. It’s excited to know that you can become like them and make another person interested in the subjects you love.I’m grateful with everything that has happened so far, phonetics had helped me a lot in the whole process with my pronunciation, even though it’s hard for me I can see my improvement little by little and that makes me really happy.I hope that I can understand better everything in this unit and have more amazing moments with my classmates, keep enjoying the ride and fall more in love with the career.
Your experience, expectations and goals.
Hello, my name is Maite. Im in second year and I have a lot of expectations about this course. But first I want to talk about my experience.
I have some experience working with kids. Since my first year I started doing volunteer work in a public school in La Ligua. There I learned a lot about how to teach young students, how to make dynamic and meaninful classes. Now I want to start joining the normal classes with some digital activities to help my students get more interested in the subjects.
Lately I have been trying to use online quizzes or do some funny exersises in class, like podcasts or tiktok, taking the viral things that my students like and turning them in a way to help my students undertsand and create a meaninful idea of the contents we are seeing.
My expectations are a lot. I really want to learn more about digital resources and how can I use them to help my students, how can I teach them how to use the digital resources and Im really expecction to be able to use them in class and make some dynamic activities with my classmates.
My goals are to at the end of this course be able to have a better knowlege about the digital resources and how to use them to help my students and me to make them a great tool instead of seeing the as some sort of competition against me as as future teacher.
Im really looking forward for this course and be able to experience everything in this course, for me it looks like an amazing opportunity to learn and at the same time use them on my students.
